Design Tips
Read our handy tips on how to design the perfect business card!
1) Consider a custom shape and design.
Create a fun design for your business card – think outside the box and create a business card that stands out from the pack. Make an impact with your shaped business card. The opportunities are endless. Do you run a building firm? Why not have a hammer shaped business card? Are you the owner of a dog walking company? Create a fun, handy sized dog shaped business card!
2) Double-sided printing
Utilise the limited space that you have to its full potential and make sure to use both sides of your business card. Even if your message is short and simple, the reverse can be used for imagery or additional branding – even just printing your logo can really help with your brand reinforcement.
3) Make the most of your space…but don’t overcrowd!
Business cards are intended to be a convenient sized contact card, so space can seem limited. However, don’t overcrowd your business card. Think about the information you need to include and decide on your layout. Don’t add fancy lettering or tiny images – let the card speak for itself. Leaving some white space will visually enhance your business card but will also leave room for any notes or messages that you may want to write on your card.
4) QR code.
Keep up with the ever-changing times! Add your QR code – a simple way to direct potential customers to your website, socials or an offer you are promoting. A small code can share a vast amount of information that would be impossible to fit on your business card!
5) Finishing touches
To ensure your business card stands out – add finishing touches that enhance your business card. Add foiling, lamination or Spot UV and create a mini masterpiece! A simple gold foiled border will add a touch of class to your card. Why not emboss your logo on your business card? Offering a stand out appearance and a textured feel to your business card.
6) Proofread!!
Spelling mistakes and typos will make customers remember you…but for the wrong reason! Check and double check your artwork before sending it to us to print!
